George restores Victorian Beaulieu pipes to tip-top condition

Damaged pipes from Beaulieu

George at work restoring the Beaulieu pipes

We were asked by Joost de Boer of William Drake Organ Builders to restore some pipes from a Robert Mirrlees organ, dated 1842, in Palace House, Beaulieu.

George Fowler, our restoration specialist (and mixtures wizard) was clearly the man for the job.

Could we take out the dents made by the rackboard without cutting through the foot, or taking the foot off?

See for yourself as George works this out using only the tip hole to get to the damage.
